Indium(III) chloride catalyzed conjugate addition of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds to alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones

Indium trichloride catalyzes efficiently the Michael reactions of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds with alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones to afford the corresponding Michael adducts in high yields with high selectivity.
