Thermoplastic composites have been put to lot of use due to some of their inherent advantages. Amongst them, experiments on Polypropylene (PP) have taken a major share. Fiber-matrix interface in composites influences many bulk mechanical properties. Reliable control of the degree of adhesion between fiber and matrix is required if a composite is to be used as a structural material. This article reviews the importance of the different parameters affecting the properties of the interface with PP as the matrix with a special focus on transcrystallinity.
