MoO3/MCM-41 catalysts with 16.7 and 28.6 wt.% MoO3 were prepared by calcining the mixtures of MoO3 and MCM-41 at 773 K for 24 It. SEM, XPS, and FTIR were employed to study the dispersing behavior Of MoO3 on the inner surface of mesoporous silicate MCM-41. The results showed that the bulk MoO3 particles vanished and MoO3 existed as dispersed state on the surface of MCM-41 after the calcination. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
