Zinc oxide-pure and doped with Li-was prepared once from single source precursors and once via mixed milling and the activity for the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane (ODE) and propane (ODP) was investigated. When Li is added to ZnO, different reaction pathways are opened for the OCM, whereas for the ODE and ODP it can be assumed that this does not happen.
