The authors have developed a general and efficient PdCl2(PPh3)(2)/Cul-catalyzed coupling reaction of ferrocenylethyne with acyl chloride using sodium lauryl sulfate as surfactant and K2CO3 as the base and which leads to the construction of C-C bonds in water.
