A two-particle scattering amplitude calculated within the framework of the Hubbard model has been used for establishing the region of development of the Cooper instability. Dependence of the superconducting transition temperature T-c on the electron density has been determined. The temperature dependence of the time of relaxation with electron spin flipping has been determined taking into account spin fluctuations. Factors responsible for an increase in the 2Delta(0)/T-c ratio as compared to the classical value have been established. (C) 2004 MAIK Nauka/Interperiodica.
