Refractive index and specific refractive index increments in N,N-dimethylformamide of the polysulfone and chlormethylated polysulfone were determined experimentally and by theoretical equations. The contribution of the ratio of molar refraction, proportional to the induced dipole moment, to molar volume for different atoms present in the studied polymers to the optical properties was investigated.
