Nine new triterpenoid saponins (1-9) have been isolated from the roots of Gypsophila perfoliata Linn. Their structures were established on the basis of extensive NMR (H-1, C-13, HSQC and HMBC) and ESIMS studies. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
