Praseodymiurn trifluoromethylsulfonate (triflate) has been found to be an efficient and recyclable catalyst for the synthesis of alpha-aminonitrile by a one-pot, three-cornponent condensation of aldehydes, amines, and trinlethylsilyl cyanide at room temperature.
