Rhodium-catalyzed hydrosilylation of internal alkynes furnished (E)-1,2-disubstituted alkenylsilanes. The obtained alkenylsilane was subjected to reaction with alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds in the presence of a rhodium catalyst to undergo conjugate addition. One-pot hydrosilylation-conjugate addition with a rhodium catalyst was also performed.
