Reaction of [ 5] lithiotrovacene ( TVC- Li) with tin dichloride affords the triradical complex ( THF)(3)Li+[( TVC) 3SnCl2](-) which was characterized by X- ray crystallography, cyclic voltammetry, EPR spectroscopy and magnetic susceptometry; redox splittings delta E-1/2 (electrocommunication'') and the exchange parameters J(EPR) and J(x) ( magnetocommunication'') attest to inter vanadium interactions mediated by the central tin atom.
