Low mass star formation may be triggered by the dynamical effects of radiation fields and winds from massive stars on nearby molecular material. The columns of neutral material observed at the edges of many H-II regions may be the tracers of this process. Magnetic fields are dynamically important in the molecular clouds from which new stars form, but their effect on the development of molecular columns has not been studied in detail. In this paper, I present initial MHD simulations of this process.
