alpha-decay half-lives for Te-104,Te-105,Te-106 and Xe-108,Xe-109,Xe-110 close above the double-magic Sn-100 are calculated from systematic double-folding potentials. The derived alpha preformation factors are compared to results for Po-212,Po-213,Po-214 and Rn-216,Rn-217,Rn-218 above the doubly-magic Pb-208, alpha-decay energies of Q alpha = 5.42 +/- 0.07 MeV and 4.65 +/- 0.15 MeV are predicted for Te-104 and Xe-108; the corresponding half-lives are T-1/2 approximate to 5 ns for Te-104 and of he order of 60 mu s for Xe-108. Additionally, the properties of rotational bands in Te-104 are analyzed, and the first excited 2(+) state in Te-104 is predicted at E-x = 650 +/- 40 keV; it decays preferentially by gamma emission with a reduced transition strength of 10 Weisskopf units to the ground state of Te-104 and with a minor branch by alpha emission to the ground state of Sn-100.
