The PM10 concentration (mu g/m(3)) in Lucknow city at 4 locations in three different seasons ranged between 148.6-210.8 (avg. 187.2 +/- A 17.1) during summer, 111.8-187.6 (avg. 155.7 +/- A 22.7) during monsoon and 199.3-308.8 (avg. 269.3 +/- A 42.9) during winter while PM2.5 ranged between 32.4-67.2 (avg. 45.6 +/- A 10.9), 25.6-68.9 (avg. 39.8 +/- A 4.6) and 99.3-299.3 (avg. 212.4 +/- A 55.0) during respective seasons. The mass fraction ratio of PM2.5 ranged between 0.22-0.92 (avg. 0.42 +/- A 0.26) and was significantly high during winter season indicating their composition.
