More attention has been given on consumer's behavioral attitude towards remanufactured products in closed-loop supply chain literature. Till date, no research has been carried out on consumers' intention towards returning the used products. The aim of this research is to develop a theoretical model to examine the intention and perception of consumers' for retuning the used products and to explore the various cues that consumers use for returning the End of-use and End of-life products. The model is examined through an empirical study and the developed hypotheses are tested by conducting a survey among the college graduated students and others (job holder and non-job holder) for specified electronics products. Finally, the extent of return intention index of the consumers is computed using the structural equation modeling. The results revealed that return intention is positively influenced by the perceived benefit and social awareness, whereas negatively influenced by the perceived risk. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd.
