Ulipristal Acetate for Treatment of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: A Proof-of-Concept Randomized Controlled Trial

Erika Comasco et al.

Summary: The study investigated the potential treatment of continuous treatment with a selective progesterone receptor modulator, ulipristal acetate (UPA), for premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Results showed that the UPA group demonstrated a significant improvement in DRSP scores compared to the placebo group, particularly in depressive and anger/irritability symptoms.
