m-Acetylphenyl-beta-D-glucopyranosides and m-acetylphenyl-alpha/beta-D-mannopyranosides were synthesized by the Koenigs-Knorr, Mitsunobu, and Helferich reactions as key glycosylation reactions, respectively.
