Electronically Tunable Memcapacitor Emulator Based on Operational Transconductance Amplifiers

Mustafa Konal et al.

Summary: This research proposes a new method for simulating memcapacitors using a multi-outputs operational transconductance amplifier (MO-OTA), which has electronically tunable properties. The charge value of the memcapacitor can be adjusted by changing the biasing current or frequency value of the input signal of the MO-OTA. Simulation results using LTSPICE in 0.18 μm TSMC CMOS process are demonstrated to analyze the performance of the proposed circuit.

The Simple Charge-Controlled Grounded/Floating Mem-Element Emulator

Yue Liu et al.

Summary: This brief introduces a simple charge-controlled emulator for achieving three types of memory element, which can be further divided into grounded and floating forms. By combining three switches and preserved positions, the memristor, memcapacitor, and meminductor can be obtained. This emulator boasts the widest bandwidth and highest operating frequency, making it a cornerstone for designing high density, high-speed, low power integrated circuits.
