The article introduces a covalent organic framework for treating nuclear waste, which allows for precise recognition and highly efficient recovery of palladium, and paves a new way for the development of efficient extractants in the future.
Due to the resource merits and potential hazards, technologies for treating nuclear waste are of great significance. Recently in Chem, Wang and colleagues developed a covalent organic framework for precise recognition and highly efficient recovery of palladium from nuclear waste by synergistic binding strategy, which opens a bright avenue toward the development of efficient extractants for treating nuclear waste.
