HED-UNet: Combined Segmentation and Edge Detection for Monitoring the Antarctic Coastline

Summary: This study proposes a new model that combines deep learning methods for segmenting and delineating coastlines. By combining building blocks from different frameworks and using deep supervision and hierarchical attention mechanism, the training effectiveness is improved.
