A generalization of the Uehling-Uhlenbeck equation is proposed, which extends its applicability to particles which obey non-conventional statistics. Equilibrium solutions and their stability are investigated. The case of particles in a medium is then considered and a Fokker-Planck approximation is constructed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
