'Field-usable' diode-pumped ∼120nm wavelength-tunable CW mid-IR fibre laser

The authors report continuously tunable (2.71 mu m - 2.83 mu m) operation of a diode-pumped mid-IR Er-doped ZBLAN fibre laser, with output powers >1 mW over the entire 120nm tuning range and > 5mW over 56nm (2.78 mu m to 2.83 mu m) of this range.
