Recent advances in the R&D of high-Tc superconductors for large-scale applications in China

The spectacular discoveries of high-T-c superconductors (HTS) since 1986 have excited a great deal of application research interest. This paper will review the recent advances of the large-scale applications of HTS in China, including power cables, current leads, fault current limiters (FCL), MRT magnet, as well as bulk YBCO-based applications such as permanent magnets and bearings, etc. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
