Fuzzy set theory has grown to become a major scientific domain collectively referred to as fuzzy systems. It has been shown that there are a lot of applications in almost all sub-areas of fuzzy systems. However, the most successful application has been in fuzzy control. Fuzzy control algorithms have been extensively used in business and industry. In this paper, an adaptive control technique based on the fuzzy parameter identification is presented. The application of this technique includes an example in agriculture. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
