A series of cinnamaldehydes was synthesized for the study of inhibitory activity against cyclin dependent kinases (CDKs). A couple of compounds selectively inhibited cyclin D1-CDK4 with an IC50 value of 7-18 mu M. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
