We present shell model calculations of both the structure of F-17 and the reactions O-16(p,gamma)F-17, O-16(p,p)O-16. We use the ZBM interaction which provides a fail description of the properties of O-16 and neighbouring nuclei and, in particular it takes account for the complicated correlations in coexisting low-lying states of O-16.
