The results of the measurements of mass transfer coefficients for the physical (CO2/water) and chemical absorption (oxidation of benzaldehye) have been presented. The collected experimental data have been correlated with the energy dissipated in the system. High values of the mass transfer coefficients, k(L)a, of the order of 10(-1) s(-1) have been obtained.
