Copoly(2,5-didodecyloxy-p-phenylenebutadiynylene/arylenebutadiynylene)s were synthesized by polycondensition of 2,5-didodecyloxy-1,4-diethynylbenzene with m-diethynylbenzene derivatives and 2,5-diethynylthiophene, respectively, in presence of a Cu-amine catalyst under O-2. Solubility and processability of the polymers were greatly improved by the copolymerization. Most of the copolymers have enhanced fluorescence intensity than corresponding homopolymers.
