Five flavonoid glucuronides were obtained from the fruit of Helicteres isora, three of which were previously unknown compounds: isoscutellarein 4'-methyl ether 8-O-beta -D-glucuronide 6-n-butyl ester, isoscutellarein 4'-methyl ether 8-O-beta -D-glucuronide 2, 4-disulfate and isoscutellarein 8-O-beta -D-glucuronide 2,4-disulfate. The structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopy and hydrolysis experiments. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
