Tellurite based oxyfluoride glass, [70 mol% TeO2, 30 mol% LiF](0.9)/[LnO](0.1) where Ln = Pr3+, Nd3+ Er3+ and Eu3+ ions, were prepared. The Judd-Ofelt parameters Omega (lambda) (lambda = 2, 4, 6) and radiative parameters, viz, the total radiative transition probability (A(T)), radiative lifetimes ( tau (R)) the branching ratio (beta (R)) and the stimulated emission cross sections (sigma (p)), for the respective excited states of Pr3+, Nd3+ and Er3+ ions were evaluated and compared with reported values. The network structure of these glasses has been established from FT-IR spectra and the phonon side band spectrum of Eu3+ ions.
