A new class of C22N2 Lycopodium alkaloid consisting of an octahydroquinoline and a quinolizidine ring, senepodine A (1), has been isolated from the club moss Lycopodium chinense, and the structure including relative stereochemistry was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.
