The solvothermal reaction of norfloxacin (H-Norf) with [Cu(MeCN)(2)(PPh3)]. ClO4 yields a mixed-ligand complex [Cu(PPh3)(2)(H-Norf)]. ClO4 1 which is characterized by single crystal X-ray determination, IR, far-IR and solid state (PNMR)-P-31 as well as fluorescent spectrum. Crystallographic data for 1, C52H48ClCuFN3O7P2, triclinic P-1 (No. 2), a=10.0434(15), b = 13.5111 (17), c = 16.651 (2) Angstrom, alpha = 97.478 (2)degrees, beta = 93.610 (2)degrees, gamma = 115.928 (2)degrees. Fw = 1006.86, Z = 2, V = 2394.1 (5) Angstrom (3), R-1 = 0.0473, wR(2) = 0.1155, S = 0.735. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
