Poor pregnancy outcomes have been reported to be associated with maternal thrombophilia. We present a case where 1 dizygotic twin inherited thrombophilic genes from both the father and mother, resulting in placental fetal thrombotic vasculopathy and intrauterine growth restriction, whereas its co-twin inherited only 1 such gone from its mother and was unaffected.
