Pattern of expression of the tetraspanin Tspan-5 during brain development in the mouse

Here. we report the pattern of expression of the tetraspanin mTspan-5 at various developmental stages. Expression was first seen at E10 and remained until adulthood, with increased levels between PO and P5. mTspan-5 showed high expression in the cortical areas and Purkinje cells throughout development. Moreover, transcripts were also detected in the developing heart, forelimbs, and hindlimbs. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
