The crystallization of ultrafine Ni-B amorphous alloy was performed by treating the sample from 298 K to 773 K. The process was monitored by DSC. XRD, EXAFS, TEM, SEM. XPS and the change of activity. The results revealed that the crystallization of the sample started at about 523 K and completed at 623 K. The crystallization deactivation of the Ni-B catalyst was discussed based on the results obtained. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
