This study examines the effect of beta blockers on expression of interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein in patients with unstable angina. Our study suggests the importance of inflammation in the pathophysiology of unstable angina and that beta blockers may play a role in decreasing the levels of interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein in patients with unstable angina.
