In this paper, we propose a novel silicon-on-insulator (Sol) Michelson interferometer sensor with waveguide Bragg reflective gratings as a high-sensitivity temperature sensor. Due to the Sol waveguide, the Bragg reflective grating has a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the fiber Bragg grating (FBG); the temperature sensitivity of the Sol Michelson interferometer sensor is 20 times higher than the FBG sensor.
