Synthesis of fullerene-cyclodextrin conjugates

[60] Fullerene derivatives bearing alpha-, beta- and gamma -cyclodextrin units as hydrophobic binding sites have been synthesized by the reaction of C-60 and peracetylated cyclodextrin 6-azides in chlorobenzene.
