Effect of chronic infusion of Epoprostenol on echocardiographic right ventricular myocardial performance index and its relation to clinical outcome in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension

In patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, right ventricular function, as assessed by the right ventricular myocardial performance index, is depressed, improves after chronic epoprostenol therapy, and relates to clinical outcome. This index may be useful to follow these patients.
