In a decision-making situation, a group of decision-makers may differ in their choice of alternatives. Each decision-maker specifies his choice for a system by trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The problem then is to aggregate these individual choices into a general consensus choice. This paper presents a procedure for aggregation based on the importance of the experts and the confidence interval of the trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. A measure of uncertainty has also been suggested. Further, some refinement is suggested in the computational method. Several illustrations are included to explain the methods.
