Troglitazone reduced in-stent restenosis and target lesion revascularization after coronary stent implantation using 2.5-mm stents in type 2 diabetic patients. Serial intravascular ultrasound assessment demonstrated that the reduction in neointimal tissue proliferation in the troglitazone group is associated with angiographic benefits.
