Results of spectrophotometric measurements in concentrated polysulfide solutions used as electrolytes in regenerative photoelectrochemical transducers are presented. The equilibrium constants are determined and the distribution of ions species in the solutions is calculated. The effect of electrolyte solution on the output characteristics of a photoelectrochemical cell based on cadmium selenide and cobalt sulfide was studied.
