The adsorption properties of carbon-fiber busofite-type materials with respect to molecular iodine I-2 and methyl iodide CH3I are investigated. It is shown that compared with SKT-3 activated carbon the efficiency of molecular iodine removal from air using busofite is 3 times higher and the efficiency for methyl iodide is 1.7 times higher. For busofite impregnated with 1-3 mass% Kl, TEDA, or AgNO3 the efficiency of removal of (CH3I)-I-131 (no carrier) increases by a factor of 2 and reaches 96-99.5%,for 1-3 layers of busofite. The dynamical capacity of busofite with respect to CH3I is 8.5-10 mg/cm(2) (similar to250 mg/g), and the contract time on the first layer of the time on the first layer of the material is greater than or equal to0.08 sec.
