The phase transition of TiO2 from the anatase to the high-pressure srilankite can be induced by the mechanical milling processes. Accompanying the mechanical milling, the lattice distortion of the milled anatase TiO2 occurs. The photocatalyst efficiency of the srilankite phase is poorer than that of the anatase phase.
