NiCuZn ferrites could be sintered at a relatively low temperature as compared to other ferrites, because their spinet crystals will be dissociated when the CuO content is relatively high. The dissociation occurs at temperatures around 900degreesC and facilitates the densification, causes the suitable ferrites to be used for multilayer application with silver as the internal conductor. Initial increase in CuO content causes a decrease in the dissociation temperature and is beneficial benefit to the electromagnetic properties as a result of grain growth and better densification. CuO content exceeds the critical value when it brings in unwanted electromagnetic properties of the ferrite products. The range of critical CuO content was determined to be 12-20mol%.
