From an ethanol extract of the stems of Burasaia madagascarensis Thouars (Menispermaceae) were isolated N-acetylnornuciferine and two clerodane-type diterpenes, one of them, epicordatine, being new. The structures were established by the interpretation of the spectral data. All the described compounds exhibited weak antimalarial activity.
