Magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectra of CrFe2O4 have been measured by using the helicity switching method. The method achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio and resolved the fine structure in these spectra, The theoretical spectra, which were calculated by the charge transfer model, reproduced the experimental spectra. The origin of three negative peaks around the L-3 edge in Cr 2p-MCD is attributed to the d(4)(L) under bar electron configuration in the initial state.
