We report the visible electroluminescence from an organic light emitting diode prepared by spin coating a single layer of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) molecularly doped with 2-(4-biphenyl)-5-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBD) and with low levels of pyrromethene laser dye. Using 1,3,5,7,8-pentatnethyl-2,6-di-n-butylpyrromethene-difluoroborate complex (P580) and 1,3,5,7,8-pentamethylpytrotnethene-difluoroborate complex (P546) in the devices produces bright colors of yellow-green and green, respectively.
