In sentinel node biopsy of breast cancer, massaging of the dye injection site following subdermal injection of blue dye does not improve sentinel node detection rate or the time needed for sentinel node biopsy. It may reduce the number of false negative sentinel nodes. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
