The correct equation for the dynamics of a classical charged particle (when its structure is neglected) has been derived previously, replacing the Lorentz-Abraham-Dirac (LAD) equation. The present Letter completes that dynamics by providing essential conditions necessary for its internal consistency. These are closely related to the limitations of classical physics imposed by quantum mechanics: a point limit is not allowed in a classical theory. The result is a classical dynamics of quasi-point charges. 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
